Revilla is a small family business in Santona that makes quality one of its mantras. Quality that over time has earned Revilla several awards and recognitions. Those of which they are most proud are the awards as "Best anchovy of the Cantabrian" and the first prize at the "Great Taste Awards".
 
WHY ARE THEY SO VALUABLE?

The best anchovies of the Cantabrian are caught in the stretch of the Atlantic Ocean north of Spain between the cold currents of the north, in the period April-May, months in which the rate of fat is optimal for this production. Each fish is filleted and worked by hand and only the most beautiful and regular fillets will be selected to become a Revilla anchovy.

Cantabria was colonized in previous centuries by colonies of Italians from the southern regions who brought the canning culture of blue fish. It can be said that in the great quality of the Cantabrian anchovies, there is part of the Italian culture.
