The Krug Grande Cuvée has always been the obsession of Joseph Krug, the founder of the Maison.
His intent was to create a perfect champagne that was a generosity of aromas, scents and pure pleasure.
Joseph Krug's research was aimed at overcoming the concept of vintage, to arrive at a winemaking formula that would allow the assembly to always remain true to itself.
A wine, even before a Champagne, which fills the mouth, with an impressive thickness and solidity of the plant, led by a lively acid backbone that is covered by the velvety fabric of the fruit, where the effervescence is never pungent but unfolds creamy accompanying you in the long, very deep and perhaps even austere finish.
A point of arrival, in short, a paradigm of quality and extreme pleasure.
It is obtained from three different vines that contain about 25 Crus mixed together even in different vintages. The unique recipe, in fact, provides for the assembly of wines obtained in about 10 different vintages. Furthermore, the first fermentation takes place in small oak barrels. It immediately presents itself with a very elegant perlage and a beautiful color that recalls the shades of ancient gold.
