Zar's Oysters
More than a century ago, these oysters were the favorite of the Russian Tsars who imported them directly from France to St. Petersburg to taste them with caviar and vodka.
These oysters are farmed in the Brittany region, more specifically in Cancale in the famous bay of Mont Saint Michel.
The bond between the Tsars of Russia and the city of Cancale was so close that the Russian Imperial Eagle appears on the city's heraldic coat of arms.
Since then Tsarskaya oysters have continued to be cultivated and refined by the same producers who, passing down the know-how from generation to generation, have brought this unique product with an unrepeatable taste to the present day.
